Day 66
This morning I’m looking forward to a hike with my health & wellness colleagues and a trip to the Farmers Market in town to pick up those crunchy fall apples I’ve been craving all week!
With the abundance of apples and pears in the fall, I like to make an apple and pear bake sprinkled with rolled oats and cinnamon. In the past, I’ve also on occasion added dried cranberries or raisins to bake in with the fruits. Raisins would be okay because they don’t have added sugars, but I have still not found no-sugar-added dried cranberries. When buying raisins, I always go for organic since grapes are one of those fruits grown with the highest concentration of pesticides. That’s true with grapes used to make wine too.
